New shoes for the start of a new school year, extra food for the holidays, basic necessities are the essential extras that make the children’s lives better.
With over 200 children, the staff of Omu’Omu buys items in bulk and divides up the items for each child which they then take home to their families.
At Taraja, where there are fewer boys, each boy gets to go shopping before heading to a relative’s home. This makes the boys happy before going to visit family that they may not know all that well.
